On Friday, June 16, 2023, the Hawaiʻi Access to Justice Conference, sponsored by the Hawai‘i Access to Justice Commission, attracted over 220 individuals for an all-day event at the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii at Manoa. 

            Honorable Nancy Gertner, former federal district court judge and now teaching at Harvard Law School, was the keynote speaker.  Hawaiʻi Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Recktenwald and Second Circuit Judge (ret.) Joseph Cardoza, chair of the Commission, offered opening remarks.
